Once last year, we were about to start our cruise when the sky got suspiciously dark. We asked our guests if they wanted to stay on board given that it looked like there might be unexpected rain coming. We always check our radar before confirming a cruise so we were taken by surprise that the weather had taken this turn. All of our guests turned out to be up for an adventure, so we set off and were soon met with a rather large rainstorm that luckily, however, only lasted about 10 minutes. We managed to stay dry in the cabin of the boat (except the crew who had to run around putting down our canvas walls!) and afterwards we were rewarded with a most beautiful rainbow and eventually a clear, warm sky. Everyone was really glad they’d stayed on board. It turns out it’s hard to get a good picture of a rainbow from a moving boat though!
