What to expect from our CRUISES
Cayuga Lake Cruises Designed to Educate & Enjoy!
From relaxing sunset cruises, to interactive eco-cruises, there’s something for everyone on the MV Teal!. Our cruises typically run 1.5 hours and are accompanied by our friendly and knowledgeable crew members. Most are family-friendly or even kid-oriented, though we save a few of our cruises for our adult friends. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages on board. Enjoy Great Experiences with
Discover Cayuga Lake Sunset Cruises
Experience the beauty of Cayuga Lake during one of the best times to be on the open water — at sunset. The unique position of the lake from North to South offers the most incredible and breathtaking sunset vantages.
Public Sunset Cruises
Feature light narration, informal chats with our crew and beautiful sunsets. Relax and enjoy the ride!
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at sunset. (May – October, times vary by month)

CLUB CAYUGA SUNSET CRUISES
Feature lively music on board with some of our favorite local DJs and musicians. Special two hour cruises!

- $30/adult, 2 for $50
Community SUNSET CRUISES
These cruises are especially for our Finger Lakes friends but all are welcome! Discounted Prices apply. See our Community Access page for featured Guest Speakers and DJs of the week!

DISCOVER CAYUGA LAKE
LAKE & LAND TOUR TO
TAUGHANNOCK FALLS
STATE PARK
Join us for a one-of-a-kind Finger Lakes opportunity – a combined 4-hour lake & land experience from our home dock at the Allan H. Treman State Marina to the famous Taughannock Falls State Park and back. Our knowledgeable narrators will be on board to discuss the human and natural history of the lake and provide some hands-on activities, great for kids and adults alike. While at the Park, choose from the following options:
- A 2 mile guided hike to Taughannock Falls with Park guides
- Rent a paddleboard, or single or tandem kayak
- Simply kick back and enjoy the beautiful park itself (there is a playground and swim area)
- Order lunch to enjoy on the cruise back. (You may also bring your own lunch.)

DISCOVER CAYUGA LAKE
ECO-Cruises
Our eco-cruises are both educational and recreational. They focus on specific themes that vary by the time of day and year as we track the changes that are happening on and around the lake. They are geared towards both adults and children and feature interactive activities to engage our curiosity and knowledge about our aquatic environments.
osprey eco-cruise
Come learn about the ecology and natural history of Cayuga Lake through the eyes of our resident Osprey. Bring your binoculars if you have them and your keen powers of observation!

Fall Foliage Eco-Cruise
Narrators will talk about the history and ecology of the lake as well as the changing colors of the season and the fall harvests which are so bountiful in the Finger Lakes.

Come enjoy the wide, open skies for yourself and see if you can recognize some zodiac signs! Our narrators will be on board to point out celestial landmarks and talk about old time navigation.

Family Eco-Cruises
These 1.5 hour cruises introduce kids, and parents too, to the world that lies beneath the surface of Cayuga Lake. Enjoy time on the water, fun lake lore, and hands on lake science activities designed for children age five and up.

DISCOVER CAYUGA LAKE
Lake Monitoring Cruise
If you really want to know more about the state of the lake, these cruises are for you. Each week, we’ll assess lake conditions and conduct sampling to tell the story. This is an opportunity to join citizen scientists (or become one!) and meet professionals from our partner organizations. Best suited for ages 13 and up.
Sundays at 2pm leaving from the Ithaca Farmer’s Market.

FARMER’S MARKET CRUISES
Enjoy a ONE Hour cruise from the dock at Ithaca’s iconic Farmer’s Market!
Reservations are NOT necessary. Pay on board with cash or credit card. Arrive at the Market Dock at least 15 minutes before cruise time.
- Saturdays – 11 am and 12:30 pm (and 2pm with demand)
- Sundays – 11 am and 12:30 pm
- $25/adults, $10/child (2-16), 2 and under ride for free
