Staff Positions
DCL offers an inclusive, friendly work environment for anyone ready to work on Cayuga Lake, to work with children and visitors to our region, and to support our mission. (Click on position title.)
- INTERPRETIVE CREW Seasonal positions are available! (May-Oct.) 20-40 hours/week. Crew are trained to perform duties as ship’s mate, hosts and narrators for our public cruises and as instructors for our educational programming. General background in boating, environmental science and/or education is a plus but not all are required. We generally hire in March-April, but you are welcome to inquire at any time. ALL CREW POSITIONS FOR 2024 ARE FULL
- SEASONAL CAPTAINS (May-Oct.) We are always looking for qualified captains. Captains must have a USCG 50 or over certification.
- ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT This NEW position will provide general administrative support. A significant component of the job will also involve customer support during our cruise season.
- INTERNS AND YOUTH GUIDES – Every summer we hire several young adult interns and teenage youth to learn about what we do and lend a hand. Click below for more information.
